I’m Abel Semereab Brhanykun, a passionate visual storyteller with over 20 years of experience in photography and videography. My journey into the world of visual arts didn’t begin with a camera, it began with a deep, childhood love for creativity and expression.

Growing up in Eritrea, I was fortunate to be mentored by Mr. Roger Harmon, a dedicated art collector who worked alongside my mother with the Peace Corps. His unwavering passion for contemporary and fine art planted the seed of my own creative spirit. Surrounded by his carefully curated pieces, I felt the magnetic pull of artistic expression. What began as an early fascination with painting soon evolved into a lifelong devotion to photography, which I embraced as instant art. It was love at first sight.

My creative path was further shaped by my time attending church programs, where I first picked up a camera to capture moments of connection and emotion. These experiences sparked my ongoing journey as a photographer and videographer.

For me, photography and videography are far more than mediums; they are vessels for preserving emotion, capturing fleeting moments, and honoring connections that transcend time. Whether I’m documenting a wedding’s quiet glances and joyful tears, or curating cinematic visuals for brands, my focus is always on authenticity. I’m drawn to the in-between moments, the raw, unspoken gestures that reveal the essence of life and love.

With a calm, intuitive approach, I bring both technical expertise and heartfelt intention to each project. My work is not just a profession it is my art, my purpose, and my way of connecting with the world.
